Final Thoughts
If you looking to spruce up your case with ARGB RAM then Toughram XG RGB by Thermaltake should definitely be considered. This kit works and works well. The features of Toughram XG RGB are all surrounded by ARGB LEDs and their customization. Thermaltake spent a good amount of time developing its Toughram software and it definitely shows by its simplicity of use and rich features. The performance of the RAM was tested on ASRock Z590 PG Velocita and even though the motherboard did not have Toughram XG RGB DDR4 4000 in the supported RAM list the modules performed fairly well. I did have difficulties overclocking these two modules. It was extremely difficult to have a stable system with a little overvoltage and with better timing than 19-23-23-42.
Overall the Toughram XG RGB DDR4 4000 is a very good-looking kit. The LED array in this kid is not obnoxious but more settle than anything. With a little help from Toughram software, you can easily customize the array to be any pattern or solid color. I really do like the slim but simple design here however the only takeaway on this RAM kit is the overclocking and stability at different timings.
Right now Toughram XG RGB DDR4 4000 is being sold for about $ 185 USD. Comparing Toughram XG RGB DDR4 4000 to other manufactures with similar features makes Toughram XG RGB DDR4 4000 look overpriced. In my opinion, it is priced at the higher end of the curve.
