Thermaltake Commander G41 Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Final Thoughts

Once it came down to actually installing some hardware into the Thermaltake Commander G41 case, I quickly noticed that the case wasn’t as large as it had initially appeared. Thankfully Thermaltake designed the Commander G41 with user flexibility in mind. The removable hard drive cages made this build happen. Had the hard drive cages not been removable I’m not sure how I could have managed to get all of my cables routed into place correctly.

Thermaltake-Commander-G41-Completed-Installation

For several years Thermaltake has been widely known for their quality parts. The large gorgeous window, accompanied by it’s clean lines really make the Commander G41 a very aggressive looking case. However, looks aren’t everything as we all may know. With that said, the G41 does have it’s shortcomings. The tight fit of the graphics card initially caused somewhat worry that I wasn’t going to be able to install the hard drive cage again, once the GPU had finally been installed. With the front panel HD audio cable coming up just short of reaching the audio header, we were somewhat disappointed. It’s much easier to worry about hiding the excess cable than trying to make a short cable work. The Commander G41 is priced very competitively at just $69.99 USD, which puts it in the middle of the mid-range tower lineup.
