Thermaltake Commander G41 Mid-Tower Chassis Review
Looking closer at the Commander G41
Our first look at the Commander G41 was pretty impressive. The side panel window is large and allows you to see virtually all of your hardware. The Commander G41 also comes in a non windowed version, which they show on the Thermaltake website, that two 120mm x 120mm can be installed into. The front panel has a mesh texture, over a non-removable dust filter. At the top of the front panel are two USB 3.0 ports as well as a front panel microphone in and headphone out.
Looking at the right side of the case, there is an extruded panel which will allow you greater room to fully route and manage all of your power cables behind your motherboard tray.
Behind the front panel is a 140mm fan installed at the bottom of the case. All the way at the top is a green PCB in which the front panel USB 3.0 and audio ports are located. This is also where you’ll find the power and reset buttons.
The rear side of the Commander G41 features 8+1 expansion slots, allowing for up to 4 graphics cards in a quad SLI or quad Crossfire system. The expansion slot on the right is a nice touch, and could come in handy for those who utilize the remainder of their expansion slots. At the top right is a 120mm fan mount, which comes with a 120x120x25mm fan already installed. Directly under that are three water cooling tubing holes which can be removed as needed.
At the top of the Commander G41 are multiple fan mounting options. Mounting options include either one or two 120mm fans, a single 140mm fan, or a single 200mm fan. With market being flooded with 2x120mm all in one water cooling units, Thermaltake has opted to allow those radiators to be mounted. It is unfortunate that the option to mount a 2x140mm radiator is absent in the Commander G41.
