A Closer Look at the Synology RT2600AC

Entire RT2600ac shell is made from light ABS plastic and is highly resistant towards fingerprints. As you can see from images above, there is plenty of ventilation to cool internal components. It is also worth to mentioning that the PCB is passively cooled in RT2600ac. Depending on the requirements, the RT2600ac can be wall mounted or placed on flat surface. Rubber feet keep RT2600ac from shifting around on the table.

In the front of the RT2600ac there is a small SD card reader. Supported formats are SDXC and SDHC. On the back of the unit there is a Power button, Power connector, Reset pin-hole, USB 2.0 connection, WAN 1 jack and four LAN jacks. Antennas of RT2600ac are ~5 dB Omni-directional dipole type. These four antennas are placed (2) on the back of the unit and (2) on each side of the unit respectably.

On the right side of the device there is the WPS and WI-FI buttons and on the left side there is the USB 3.0 connector and Eject button. RT2600ac Supports one USB type printer and one USB type of storage device.

On the top of the device we can see Synology logo and underneath status LEDs. There are Status, LEDs for 2.5GHz, 5GHz, WAN1 and 2 and four LAN LEDs.
