SilverStone PM01 Gaming PC Case Review
Final Thoughts
PM01 is a well-built case with many useful features. I think SilverStone did a really good job coming up with the design of this case. One thing that jumps out is the quality of the paint job. Paint job of the entire case matches to the front and top bezels. And just by looking at the case itself you forget that you are looking at plastic bezels in front and top. The majority of the case is made from steel and that really packs on some weight. This is not a light case as it weight close to 18lb without any components in it.
Basic cooling is offered right from the factory. SilverStone includes large 140mm fans that would help consumers get up their systems and running in no time. Lightning in this case is done by LED fans and LED strips. The only color that is offered with this model is red. It would be great to be able to choose your own color with the aid of RGB LED light strips.
What I really like about this case is multiple options to build custom loops with different radiator configurations. I have not built the liquid cooling configuration with the PM 01 yet however, based on the size and internal dimensions as well as mounting locations, this case can provide a nice modding platform for beginner and veteran modders alike.
As of this review, the PM01 retails for about $110 USD. Similar Mid Tower cases retail for about the same price but from what I’ve seen, many lack the exterior finish similar to the PM01. I feel that the price vs value of the PM01 is very competitive in its market. The PM 01 definitely stands out in the crowd and I think that’s a very positive statement.
