Silverstone Introduces New Raven Z SFF Case with ATX PSU Support

Silverstone has been focused on compact form factors for cases for the past few years and the iconic Raven line has taken on a much slimmer shape as well compared to the earlier models that featured a 90 degree ATX motherboard layout. Silverstone’s Raven and Milo line such as the ML08 SFF case previously reviewed here at Modders-Inc paired with their SFX form factor PSUs provide a compact gaming solution that would not look out of place in the living room but are also easily portable. Despite the accommodations internally for full-size graphics cards, the SFX form factor for the PSU can be a limiting factor for some users but thankfully, it seems Silverstone has added a new version of the Raven Z that supports an ATX form factor PSU.

The RVZ01-E/RVZ01-BE supports mini-ITX and mini-DTX form factor motherboards with a high-performance PCI-E x16 3.0 riser card that allows installation of full-size video cards despite the low ceiling. Despite the compact size, there are decent cooling options available as well with a pair of 120mm fans bundled at the top and bottom, with an additional 120mm mount at the bottom as well. Total dimension is 382mm (W) X 105mm (H) X 350mm (D) with a compact 14 liter volume. Although the total power supply length is limited to 150mm, Silverstone offers plenty from its own stable that are 140mm and 150mm long including their latest platinum series PSUs.
