Seasonic X-850 Power Supply Review

The Seasonic X-850 is the 6th power supply we have seen from Seasonic’s X-Series of units. To date, all of those members of the X-Series have been winners and the line has been around long enough that Seasonic is starting to roll out revisions to some of the earlier models. Today’s X-850 (SS-850KM3 Active PFC F3) is a revision of the original X-850 (SS-850KM Active PFC F3). However, among the original X-Series units we reviewed the X-850 was not one of those units so, while a revision, today’s X-850 is a “new” unit to us. Given the results from the other X-Series units we have reviewed though, we certainly have high expectations for this unit today. Indeed, among Seasonic’s offerings the X-Series slots in right under its Platinum series as one of its higher end offerings. With that position in the pecking order we have to see what Seasonic has to say about this unit:
