Latest working BIOS, updates and drivers were used at the time of the review. About 1/2 through the review AMD and Nvidia dropped new drivers. The old drivers were removed and the new drivers were installed. Each benchmark was run a total of three times and the results were averaged. The Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 Gaming comes from the factory overclocked. We left the speeds alone and did an out-of-box comparison.

We use the preset settings in game (high, ultra, etc.) and we did not disable AMD or Nvidia specific options in game or we left them at their defaults.
