Razer Barracuda HP-1 8 Channel Gaming Headphones
A Closer Look |
Once you open the box you will see that the Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones are safely packaged in a sealed plastic blister pack.
Included in the package is a users manual, the headphones, and a set of tails to plug into your sound card.
The design of the Razer Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headphones is not bad as I think they went for performance over looks. Not a biggie for me because as a full-time headphone user I pick mine by A) Sound B) Looks. Yes looks count, you don’t want to be at a LAN and have two soda cans stuck to your head, OK some of us don’t.
Razer tried to make the headphones as comfortable as possible by making them fairly light and nicely padded. The self adjusting support belt helps keep the weight of the Barracuda HP-1 off your ears while the two large metal bands keep the ear pieces tightly on your head. The padding around the ear pieces is a nice smooth feel that has 1/2 inch of pad. Using the headphones for hours while listening to music and playing games was not a problem, but it did feel like that the depth of the ear pieces could have been more. At times it felt like my ears were touching the flat surfaces upon where the speakers are attached too. The phones are large and round, 3 1/2 inches to be exact. This was done to accommodate the multiple speakers in each one…yes I said “Multiple Speakers”. |
