A Closer Look Continued
Power Supply is mounted on the bottom of the case. There are no removable PSU plate so the installation would have to be done from the side of the case. The PSU clearance is generous and supports Power Supplies up to 285 mm in length. Rubber grips that hold power supply in place are secured down with glue. When opening the case I found one rubber grip dislocated.
The motherboard tray is not removable. Supported types of motherboards are E-ATX (30.5 x 27.5 cm), ATX, M-ATX, Mini-ITX. Cable management is very similar to the other cases we see on the market. To pipe cables trough the case Dark Base 700 has rubber cable management holes that help cable to stay in place. You can potentially use the plastic inserts on the right of the rubber holes to manage your cables. Supported Radiator sizes which could be mounted in the front of the case are 120, 140, 240, 280, 360 mm.
As you have probably figured out by now this case is like a kit. There are many removable panels that give flexibility in customization of this case. It is also worth to mention that Dark Base 700 comes with extra HDD bay which could be installed in one of the slots next to the cable management holes. There is no supports for 5.25″ bays.
Entire case is supported by large rubber based feet. This case is never going to move/slide if it’s on flat/smooth surface. The bottom filter is removable as well as the front one. To remove the bottom filter for maintenance you need to remove front bezel to get to it. Ideal design? Can’t complain, it works.

There is only one accessory box which contains motherboard screws, couple of rivets, some Velcro ties, extra HDD/SSD tray and a User Manual.
Installation of the SSDs was kind of tricky. As you would imagine the SSDs would be mounted from the inside of the brackets but this is not the case in Dark Base 700. In the pictures above you can see the Wrong and Right way to install an SSD in this case. Trying to fit the SSD from the inside of the mount would result in bending the shell. Actual installation of the SSDs are done from the back of the mount.
man if that 700 had better exhaust flow on the top id buy it .
the motherboard tray is removable, otherwise it wouldnt be possible to have an inverted build, maybe thats a typo there on page “A Closer Look Continued” 2nd paragraph
