Installation & Compatibility Issues

IMG_5299Motherboard Installation is pretty straight forward. The center riser has a lip edge that holds the board in place so you can fasten it down. Some of the wider boards (E-ATX & Larger ATX) will fit but are a very tight squeeze.

IMG_5301The power supply is installed from the back side and can be installed with the fan up or down.

To install additional 3.5″ HDD’s there is a modular mount that the HDD sits on and is fastened from the sides with screws. Then the mount slides into these little tabs on the inside of the chassis and held in place with a fastener.

IMG_5304The front radiator is mounted vertically however, to install a 360mm radiator you must remove the plate on the top of the power supply cover. The fans must be in front of the radiator in push orientation. You could do push/pull but you would have to use slim-line fans.  The top radiator is mounted to a rack that slides into place and is held in place with 5 screws. (two in front and three in the rear). Keep in mind the top radiator is off-set a bit to the left to clear the RAM. It is possible to install a 360mm radiator at the top and 360mm radiator in the front at the same time but, you are restricted to 30mm thickness. If one of the radiators is thicker then you have to downsize one or the other. There is enough space for tube reservoirs up to 250mm in length.

IMG_5306There is more than enough room for cable management, especially with all the room under the power supply cover. The built in fan controller is powered via SATA connection and uses a header on your motherboard for the speed signal.
