Patriot Memory Supersonic USB 3.0 Flash Drive
A Closer Look – Components and Design |
Of course one of the things we like, and some times hate, is the small size of a flash drive. The over all length of the Supersonic flash drive is 2 13/16th of an inch and is 3/4 of an inch wide. Which means that you can easily put into you pocket or travel bag.
The thickness of the drive is just a mere 1/4 inch thick and had a slightly rounded edge to it. The body of the Patriot Supersonic Flash Drive is made of aluminum and has been tested to withstand a shock force of 15 G’s and still work. Although the body of the Supersonic flash drive is made of aluminum the cap is made from plastic. The cap has no way of being tethered to the drive, so make sure that you keep track of it. If you look closely you can see that the inside of the USB connector you can see that it is blue, which means that is a USB 3.0 device and that you need to plug it into a corresponding blue USB port to get the maximum speed. Even though it is a USB 3.0 device it is backwards compatible to the lower speed USB ports. Down at the non working end we can see that you have the ability to attached the flash drive to whatever means you can think of or that you can get through that tiny hole. Also when the drive is plugged in and being accessed a red color emits from this area. |
