NZXT Cryo LX Notebook Cooler
Conclusion |
NZXT comes out with a bold statement right on the front of the retail package of the Cryo LX, “World’s Largest Full Aluminum Notebook Cooler”, and I must say it most likely is. The NZXT Cryo LX is a huge chunk of aluminum no doubt, but it is actually more than just a chunk of aluminum. With 3 120mm speed adjustable fans, the Cryo LX cools very well and dropped my temps roughly 10ºC. Not only does the NZXT Cryo LX cool well, but with it’s 3mm thick aluminum, it is well built and solid to the core also. (And, let me remind you that if you want led fans or even more powerful fans, the Cryo LX fans are repalaceble.)
Overall, I was very pleased with the NZXT Cryo LX, both in it’s cooling abilities and also it’s USB header. In fact the only suggestion I would make, as far as the cabling goes, is to add at least one USB T connector to the Cryo LX’s accessories, so that folks that are deprived of USB ports on their notebook do not have to use the only two USB ports they have. I had my doubts at first, but the NZXT Cryo LX has proven to be one of the best notebook coolers out there and does indeed seem to live up to it’s boast, of being the Worlds Largest All Aluminum Notebook Cooler. If you have one of those large high powered gaming notebooks (like Dell XPS or Alienware etc), then you just might want to give the NZXT Cryo LX a try for added cooling. Personally, if I were fortunate enough to own one of those nice gaming notebooks, I would not hesitate to add the NZXT Cryo LX to it for additional cooling. My final conclusion … The NZXT Cryo LX ROCKZ! |
