Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard V2
Conclusion |
So was the all the trouble of updating the Logitech G15 worth it? My answer would be Yes and No. Let me start of with the No’s first. Logitech already had a pretty nice keyboard with the original G15. It was the first of its kind and was fairly affordable to everyone that wanted that “cool looking keyboard with the LCD screen” in it. Why mess with success, right. So if you have the first G15 just keep it. Another mark for the No side is the GamePanel software. It is still has the same functions as before. If you are going to release an updated version, why package it with old style software. There are plenty of G15 fans sites that have software that can add functions to be displayed on the screen. Why not look and see what is the most popular and emulate it.
OK, now onto the Yes reasons. If you wanted the original G15 keyboard and for some reason you did not grab one, you must get this version. It think that this version out classes the style of the old G15 by miles. I actually think that Logitech must have felt that the original G15 was “less than par” of the normal stylish looking products they put out. The new G15 keyboard is a make up for that mistake, thank you Logitech. The built in LCD is much more practical with it being stationary. The smaller size with less buttons and overall looks are superior to the old one. Along with the Orange back lighted keys that have just the right responsive feedback for touch typing and overall ease of use; I recommend that you look at and purchase the new Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard.
