Lexar NQ100 480GB SSD Review

A Closer Look at Lexar NQ100 480GB »

Lexar NQ100Are traditional SSDs no longer useful now that pretty much everyone is switching to NVMe type of storage?  Absolutely not.  SSDs are still very commonly used and offer speeds up to SATA III.  When it’s time to replace traditional spinning disk Hard Drives you really have to choose between 2.5″ SSDs or NVMe SSD storage devices.  With the release of the newest motherboards which support NVMe storage modules its no brainer that you should go with NVMe SSD.  However what if your motherboard is a little bit older doesn’t have NVMe connections but still works?  SATA SSD is the best way to go.  Lexar’s NQ100 2.5″ SSD is a good solution if you are looking for a quick upgrade or just looking to add more fast storage to your pc.  NQ100 is SATA III (6Gbps capable) SSD storage device that comes with all the features SSDs have to offer for an affordable price that won’t break the bank.

  1. The controller seems to be a rebadge of the MA0902-controller. My NQ100 480GB uses QLC instead of TLC :(
