From the bottom or air intake area of the LEPA G850-MAS 80 PLUS Gold Certified Power Supply, we can see the massive 140mm intake fan and fan guard, which bears the LEPA logo as well.

Speaking a tad more on the fan, it is a 140mm two-ball bearing cooling fan with a thermal programmed speed controller that delivers silent and cool operation. In essence it is a load sensing fan, that ranges from 0 rpm to 1600 rpm depending on the load demanded of the PSU. At around 20 percent load it will spin at about 400 rpm, a load of 50 percent will spin the fan at around 800 rpm, while a full 100 percent load will spin the fan at 1600 rpm. Thus the noise level and rpm of this fan will depend greatly upon the amount of demand put upon the PSU. Of course at very low levels the fan may not even kick on as it is not getting hot enough to need any additional cooling. It is a pretty neat feature, that will greatly reduce noise, energy consumption and wear and tear on the fan itself, thus helping it to last very long time.

The top of the LEPA G850-MAS 80 PLUS Gold Certified Power Supply lists the specifications, serial number and general warnings. It also has the pass sticker for Burn-IN, Hi-Pot and ATS.

Besides the exceptional fit and finish, that is continued throughout the LEPA G850, the side views of the LEPA G850-MAS 80 PLUS Gold Certified Power Supply, merely show the LEPA logos and warranty seal breakage warning. The baked on finish on the LEPA G850 (which I am certain is on all of the G series PSUs) is a textured gun metal grey. So, finger prints showing up on your prized gaming rig should not be an issue.

Lepa power switch Lepa Hybrid Modular end

Moving to the rear of the LEPA G850-MAS 80 PLUS Gold Certified Power Supply, we can see that the rear is very well ventilated to allow for the heat inside the PSU to exhaust properly through the rear panel. We can also see the nice large firmly mounted power switch and the power cable receptacle.

On the cable side of the LEPA G850-MAS 80 PLUS Gold Certified Power Supply, we can see that the cable setup is of a hybrid modular design. We have the main motherboard power cable and the two CPU power cables that are non-modular. They are sleeved in black mesh and the mesh has been shrink tubed very well at the ends and should not give anyone any trouble by slipping off of the mesh covering.

Moving to the modular side of the cable portion of the LEPA G850-MAS, we find that there are two PCI-E receptacles in red and four black MOLEX / SATA / FDD receptacles. Although these are clearly marked, just to make sure there is no misunderstanding there are also picture diagrams to the right of these receptacles. Again, fit and finish seem to be excellent all around the LEPA G850-MAS 80 PLUS Gold Certified Power Supply.
