A Closer Look At The Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolver Headset

As of now, there is only one color theme available for the HyperX Cloud Revolver and that is black with red accents. The stitching accent is red to contrast with the black leather band. Rather than a traditional style of headband where the ear cups move down for adjustment, the HyperX Cloud Revolver is a suspension style headset. This means the head band moves upwards for adjustment.

Part of what makes the suspension style headset work is the frame. The frame of HyperX Cloud Revolver is made of lightweight steel while the headband is made of leather with a soft foam core. The headband slides up and down on plastic adjusters that slide in and out of the headband.

The ear cups provide quite a bit of adjustment as far as changing the angles. The cups sit in a sort of ball and socket joint which allow limited tilting of the cups up and down and back and forth.

The inside of the ear cups feature a 50mm driver. The outer ring of the ear cups contain a soft memory foam core wrapped in soft leather.

On the bottom of the left ear cup is the microphone port. The mic snaps in quite solidly. The boom on the mic is flexible and when wearing the mic tends to stay in place.

The overall cable length is 3M which, includes from the headset to the control box and from the control box to the 3.5mm plugs at the end. The controls on the HyperX Cloud Revolver are extremely simple. The mic mute slider is located on the front part of the controls and the volume wheel is located on the side.
