Installation |
I slapped the Jetway NC92 in to the ol Modders-Inc test box with a hard drive that already had Vista installed just to see what would happen and I was all too surprised. Vista found all the needed drivers to get the board up and running. But to play it safe and to make sure that the included drivers would install and work I popped the CD and off I went. You can’t exactly say that the install splash screen will win any art design awards but you not here for the looks. All the drivers you need are here and easy to install. Pick one, install and off to the next one. What I did not see on the CD but found on the Jetway site was a program called MyGuard. This particular program will monitor your temperatures, fans and other misc stuff.
You can also browse the CD and you will find a few extras that are not on that wonderful screen. I always take a look at the CD’s as you can find stuff that you never knew about and might like. Like the Windows based BIOS flashing tool, PC Chillin and such.
Something that most people wont do is go through the BIOS and make sure that it set to the settings you need or want. I highlighted a few of the more important ones in the next couple of screen shots/images. Just your everyday BIOS menu… Here we can see a couple settings that we can play with. Ah, I see some DRAM play time in my near future… Playing with the onboard stuff…
For a mini setup like this you will really want to tweak this area with certain idea in mind and what kind of setup you plan on using it for.
I wonder how this thing will test out?… |
