Hardware Install

I will be using two SSD’s as the drive for this install. One will be placed in the hard drive holder and the other on the plate that attaches to the wall of the case.

I really like this idea and, uh will “borrow it” in a few of my upcoming case mods.

With the cover plate removed from the open section in the case you get access to the only drive bay in the IN WIN 904. On the other side of the this area you have access to connect the power and data cables.

With the minimum amount of power cables used the back side of the install look rather clean.

A modular power supply is highly recommend when using the IN WIN 904. Space is at a some what of minimum and the less cables used will also help the overall completed appearance since you are showing off the inside with the glass sides. You can see there is not much space between the power supply and the edge of the open space. Some more time spent on it would improve the look, but I think this is as far as the average IT person would go to. I used a standard size motherboard for this install but I would suggest a small mini or micro ITX board.

Make sure that you know the height of the CPU you will be using. The IN WIN 904 will only accept cooler that is a maximum size of 149mm. If you don’t you will end up with a situation like this.
