Intel Expands 6th Gen Desktop Processor Line-up



Coinciding with the release of new motherboards sporting non-Z chipsets, Intel has made available the entire family of 6th generation desktop processor line in addition to the initially launched i7-6700K and i5-6600K unlocked parts. Two i7 models have been added including the 65W  i7-6700 which has non-unlocked multiplier and lower out-of-the-box speeds at 3.4GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) and the 35W i7-6700T with a base frequency of 2.8GHz (3.6GHz Turbo), both retailing for $312 (box price). For the rest of the 65W CPUs, Intel also offers three more i5 processor options, three i3 processors and three Pentium processors. For the rest of the 35W CPUs, Intel offers two more i5’s and a pair of Intel Pentium processors.
