HyperX Cloud Revolver Gaming Headset
This Is What It's Supposed To Sound Like...
The Cloud Revolver is not an impulse buy at $119.99. But if you’ve ever had to play a game with a headset that was an impulse buy, then you already know why that’s a less-than-ideal situation. When it comes to raw audio performance, the Cloud Revolver is one of the best-sounding headsets I’ve ever used. I’m also rather partial to the lack of LEDs and white/gray accents (though the Cloud Revolver is available in a red version if you’re so inclined). Surround sound is optional with the Cloud Revolver S, though its the “virtual” variety, so the accuracy of your positional audio experience may vary from game-to-game. Aside from the not-very-bendy boom mic, the Cloud Revolver lived up to my lofty expectations, and managed to raise the bar for every headset I test from here on out. You hear that Logitech, Sennheiser, Razer, and Corsair? This is what a truly great headset sounds like.
