GIGABYTE New Storage Line Up with NVMe PCIe M.2 SSDs
GIGABYTE NVMe PCIe M.2 SSDs
Today we have heard the news that GIGABYTE is announcing an addition to their storage line in form of NVMe PCIe M.2 SSDs. The GIGABYTE M.2 line up will be offered in three capacities, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB sizes.
The new SSDs are based on 2280 specifications and operate by PCIe Gen3 x2 M.2 interface which has no need for power and data cables which are used in traditional SATA SSDs. GIGABYTE motherboards which use M.2 Thermal Guards improve the overall performance of NVMe M.2 SSDs and also make a fast and easy transition from traditional SSDs into M.2 at a very little cost.
“In comparison with traditional SATA drives, M.2 devices are more compact and offer better performance which makes them perfect for users seeking enhanced storage performance,” stated Jackson Hsu, Deputy Director of the GIGABYTE Channel Solutions Product Development Division. “GIGABYTE M.2 SSDs continue to build on the success of the highly acclaimed UD PRO series and are a glowing example of GIGABYTE’s dedication to excellence, satisfying the performance and durability demands of all users. With a selection of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB capacity SSDs, GIGABYTE M.2 SSDs provide users with excellent performance, durability, and capacity flexibility.”
128GB and 256GB capacities have already been shipped to resellers and 512GB models to follow shortly. All of GIGABYTE PCIe M.2 SSDs comes with a 3-year warranty.
