GIGABYTE Force M63 Raptor Gaming Mouse Review
I really don’t have any negative comments about the GIGABYTE FORCE M63 Raptor. My time which I had spend with it was very much pleasurable however, I did discover some discomfort after a few minutes of use. The way I usually hold my mouse is in the “Claw” style. Claw style of holding the mouse by itself is a little stressful but if you have been holding your mouse like that for many years you get adjusted to the style and perhaps my problem was with adjusting to this new mouse. The mouse is a medium size and very light without any weights. I adjusted the weight to my liking and I think it helped with the control and stress of my hand.
The GIGABYTE FORCE M63 has total of 10 buttons that can be customized in pretty much any way desired. On top of the simple button assigning you can set up macros and change DPI settings to help you in battle. All of this is done from the software which does not come with the mouse however, it can be downloaded from the GIGABYTE’s web site. Using software does take some time to get used to. It took me a few minutes to figure out how everything is represented in the software. I’m not going to lie to you, the first time it will take you a while to get acquainted with all of the features this mouse has to offer but in time you will get better just like I did.
So what about the internal hardware? Is it worth the money? In my opinion yes. FORCE M63 is powered by SONIX micro controller which holds all of your settings for the mouse. SONIX chips require low power and a good alternative to some micro controller such as Weltrend. For tracking FORCE M63 uses ADNS a3090 sensor. ADNS a3090 sensor is very popular in the gaming mice as it provides best traction for smooth operation. FORCE M63 has hybrid switches Omron and TTC. Side switches are really not designed for often use so they really shouldn’t be a concern but yet they will still provide a quiet and long lasting operation.
So if you looking for a mouse that has all the features you want including “Sniper” (DPI on the fly) this FORCE M63 could be it. Keep in mind this mouse is medium size so you might have to give some time for your hand to adjust to it. Over all performance of the GIGABYTE FORCE M63 Raptor has been flawless and if you are in the market for a new gaming mouse this one might be the right one for the job.
