Internal Components of the ECS2512FP

The motherboard itself appears to be well assembled and without any visible over flux areas. The power supply is located at the back of the enclosure. It has a plastic shroud around it. Most power supplies we see in switches have a similar configuration or are completely exposed.

Here are some chips that are on the motherboard.  I was unable to remove the passively cooled chips that are responsible for the 1-8 RJ45 connectors and 4 SFP+.  The thermal compound was stuck to the chip and the heatsink so removing it with stronger force could damage the chips.

PoE power delivery is being handled by Broadcom BCM59121B0KMLG chip. The total budgeted power in ECS2512FP is 240Watt.

ECS2512FP features a Nuvoton ARM Cortex microprocessor. M0516LDE.

The 10/100 Base-T controller in ECS2512FP is by Realtek RTL8231. This controller supports the single console connector.
