To continue to the make the case look like the screen shots I need to madk the two boxes that are the top.
These are a must to have as they are really stand out feature of the Radio. 
I will show what I did to one as it pretty much went the same for both. 

I got a plastic “project box”…

The front box is going to hold the Power and Reset switch. 
I marked out the area and drilled a few holes.

and cut it out…

Next I took some aluminum marked, drilled, cut and files to fit the sides of the boxes

While I was cutting aluminum I thought I would make a nameplate for the side of the case.
It was pretty easy to do and I used some metal letter stamps to create the words.
