A Closer Look

Those of you familiar with office chairs will not be surprised by the tilt/height adjustments. Those are standard fare. Some of the more unique adjustments come with the arm rests, where they are height adjustable, rotatable, as well as slide-able and adjustable on their X and Y axis. You can slide the elbow rests into your ribs (x axis) making the space between more narrow (if your shoulder width is not wide, this adjustment may hold special prominence in your decision. Not many chairs offer this.). With the arm rests slid all the way out, as wide as they can go, that is 19 inches across.  The arm rests telescope forward (y axis) with approximately 2 inches of travel, and they also pivot/rotate on the armrest pillar. 3 presets on the pivot allow you to point them inward, straight forward and outward. Each change is approximately 15 degrees of alteration, totaling 45 degrees of potential pivot customization. 8 cm of potential height adjustment, putting the max seat height right at 21 inches.

One of the most unique adjustments, as noted from the picture above, is that this chair takes a design queue from its car seat brethren, and allows for a recline adjustment option. The adjustment handle is *right* where you would expect it to be for a passenger car seat, right side and back. Pull it and this thing, and it will lay almost 180 degrees completely back. Depending upon how heavy you are, you need to be careful here, because now the center of gravity shifts and you can tip over (ask me how I know this). But, if you recline it back say, 45 degrees, you have a very relaxing position to catch a few winks at your favorite LAN party!

The 2 included pillows are for hed/neck support and lower lumbar support. They attach to the chair via belts and are location adjustable. I have found these to be very comfortable details, that are constructed very durably. Typically, something in the small of my back does not last very long due to my incessant shifting, and the seams begin to pull apart. Not so with these.

One thing that is noticed from all of the pictures, the physical appearance and finish of the chair is impeccable! It is a beautiful chair to look at. It oozes “performance” in it’s lines. And touches like carbon fiber vinyl panels stitched into the chair do nothing but make you think that the chair is getting ready to take you on a performance ride of your life! For those that are video content providers, this makes for a great chair to video cast from, as it is visually pleasing in the window of the video feed. I’ve noticed many pod casters that use these chairs.
