To get the best from your H6 from Creative you want to use the Creative Sound Blaster Connect application for Windows or Mac. This is a free download that allows you to customize your headset the way you want it. Playback sound, Voice and Lighting could be completely customized to fill once need.

The H6 uses BlasterX Acoustic Engine which controls multiple settings such as Surround sound, Crystalizer, Bass, etc. Depending on the application you can customize the reproduction of the bass and treble if needed with EQ. You can customize pretty much any portion of the sound anywhere from 31Hz to 16kHz.

Don’t have time to sit and experiment with sound? You can always choose a preset from one of the saves. Some of the presets that are already customized are for Fortnite, CounterStrike and DOTA2. Just like sound RGB is also customizable. There are few presets along with customization options for the desired color.

The H6 can be configured to operating Stereo, 5.1 or 7.1 channels. This is extremely easy to configure through the Sound Blaster Connect. To configure your microphone you can enable Noise Reduction, Acoustic Echo Cancellation and something that is called Smart Volume. With Smart Volume enabled the microphone picks up and reproduces sounds in even tone without needing to shout or whisper to your teammates.
