Cougar Announces Puri and Puri TKL Gaming Keyboards
Cougar has a new mechanical gaming keyboard offering called the Puri and Puri TKL. As the name suggests, the TKL version lacks the numpad, while the regular Puri has a standard 104-key layout. These mechanical gaming keyboards are designed with portability in mind. Which means the USB cables are detachable. Plus, it also comes with a protective cover which attaches via magnets.
The Puri lets users adjust the rear angle for convenience with three-height adjustment options. Also, there are cable routing areas for users to use whether they are left or right handed.
Cherry MX Mechanical Switches
Each key is individually LED backlit with a white LED. Underneath, it uses authentic Cherry MX switches with full NKRO over USB functionality. What is cool about the Puri is that it also features several LED behaviour presets. These are accessible through Fn combination keys which allow for different effects. This includes snake, wave, star, flow, reactive, gradient, ripple and more.
There are also multi-media controls, and desktop shortcut features, as well as Windows key lock options available. Accessible via the secondary Fn key.
Pricing and Availability
The Cougar Puri keyboard has an MSRP of $79.99 USD. Meanwhile, the tenkeyless version Puri TKL costs $69.99. Both will be available in retail stores starting October 2017.
