Corsair STRAFE RGB Mk.2 Gaming Keyboard Review

Silence is golden

« Corsair iCUE Software

The Mk.2 line represents Corsair’s refresh on the keyboard. They’ve changed the looks and added much-requested features to the Strafe Mk.2. The keyboard does support 100% anti-ghosting and full key rollover. Which means, every single key on the keyboard can be pressed at the same time and each key press will register.

Corsair Strafe RGB Mk.2

I’ve been using the Corsair Strafe RGB MK.2 for about two weeks now. My particular sample came with the Cherry MX silent keys. During use, the keys are very quiet and perform very well. Choosing a key set if very subjective. I’m not a fan of reds. I like a more tactile switch and I do like the click. My personal favorite keys are blues. If you’re in the market for a keyboard and you have the time, go to the store and try out some of the displays, play with the keys and make sure they will work for you. A keyboard is one of your main inputs for your PC and it should be comfortable for you to use.

Overall, the Corsair Strafe RGB MK.2 performs very well. The per key lighting allows you to set the individual keys colors to your liking. Customization is a good thing.  I applaud Corsair for the simple yet needed changes. The addition of the Windows lockout key as well as the media controls really put the keyboard in the gaming class in my opinion. The Corsair Strafe RGB MK.2 with Cherry MX Reds will set you back $139.99 and the Cherry MX Silent key version comes in $10.00 higher at $149.99.
