CoolIT Systems Domino Liquid CPU Cooler
Conclusion |
I was unaware of what product was headed towards me from CoolIT Systems Inc. until I opened the package. My first response was that “Wow it looks pretty nice”, but that was just from seeing the outside of the box. Once I was able to get into the review more and see the Domino I was becoming more and more impressed. The craftsmanship was apparent and you could see that the thought process was well worked out.To tell you the truth I did not know what the actually selling price to be until I got the press release and when I read that the MSRP was $79.99 USD, my jaw just about hit the floor. I had to double check that what I was reading was the in fact the same product I was testing.
Overall I think that CoolIT Systems, with the Domino A.L.C., is on its way to changing how every PC will cool the processor. With no worries about leakage or having to refill or maintain the cooling system like you do for water cooling. The price you pay for this cooler is more than reasonable and well you might just think that you are ripping them off.Geoff Lyon from CoolIT System Inc. says it the best about their newest product the Domino A.L.C.
“Liquid cooling is ready for the masses. The technology now exists and can offer more than air cooling in many ways. We at CoolIT have learned a great deal through working with large OEM’s (and their grueling requirements) and feel an obligation to our after-market customers to put the same advancements in reliability and functionality into our retail product. Liquid cooling is now about more than just Gaming – the Gaming category has long been the connoisseur of new technology and therefore expected to pay more…a lot more for their preference for performance. We’d like to change that starting now. The Liquid Cooled PC is now about to become available for everyday computing as well as gaming. After all, lots of people game but they also send email, surf the web and maybe even do some work. With the price point of the Domino, I think we’ll see it as an integral part of the “Under $1000” PC and like most technology advancements, this just makes the combined system better… for less.” Well said my friend. |
