This thing ain’t ugly… |
I like how it was put together, and the engineering decisions, but the styling is very easy on the eyes too… here are a few pics to explain what I’m talking about (click for larger images):
With the use of the vertical vapor chamber (VVC from now on) giving 3x the fin contact area when compared to traditional heat pipes, it’s not only a nice looking addition to the cooling of the device, but a great tool for heat removal. The VVC has the increased cooling potential of over 200 watts of heat removal at the same or lower noise levels, when compared to similar heat pipe only designs.
The fan attachment shroud offers up great flexibility in that if you needed to move the fan up a little bit to accommodate taller memory, you can do so: Also of note, is the fact that Cooler Master sends an *additional* set of fan shrouds so that you can attach a second fan in push/pull orientation.
