Cooler Master MasterMouse MM520 and MM530 Review
A Closer Look at the Cooler Master MM530 Mouse
While the MasterMouse MM520 takes cues from the CM Storm Spawn/Xornet in terms of its body design, the MM530 on the other hand uses the familiar CM Storm Mizar/Alcor body. It is ergonomically designed to be long and right-handed bias with the back and forward buttons situated for right-hand thumb actuation while the right side extends outward for extra support and grip.
Unlike the MM520, there are two DPI buttons available, with a total of seven buttons. The DPI buttons are also situated further away from the scroll-wheel. The latter being closer to the front edge.
Although different shaped, both left and right side enjoy a rubber surface area to prevent slippage and provide better control when pushing the mouse body with your fingers. The MM530 measures 124.8mm long and 60.4mm wide with a height of 40.2mm. It is in fact, a direct adaptation of the CM Storm Mizar/Alcor shell unlike the MM520 which has a modified CM Storm Spawn/Xornet body.
The bottom area layout is much different from the CM Storm Mizar/Alcor however. The front and back ends have a fairly large skate coverage, although it lacks the easy removal access available with the MM520.
There are also three RGB LED lighting zones including the logo outline and the scroll-wheel. However, this time the DPI buttons are also illuminated.
