I have thought in the past “If I could just move the PSU out of the case there would be so much room to add other stuff and I could hide the cables better”. Well it looks as if my question has been answered with option #2.

What I did here was to take the power supply that was already being used and mounted in the top part along with a hard drive. All I had to do was run the cables down through the holes and I was done. The cool thing is that the cabling could be a total mess and no one will see them once the side panel is put back on.

With no power supply insight is sure makes it odd but very clean looking.

Now just think about this for a second. Replace the power supply and mini-itx board with all your water cooling stuff. There is more than enough room to install a radiator or two, fans,  pumps, a reservoir and probably whatever else you could fit. I am not into water cooling so sorry that I did not have the hardware to show you what could be done but that would have created a whole new review by itself. I will say that seeing the layout of the case and what it could do I think I just might try my hand at water cooling.

With this new modular design that Cooler Master has introduced to the world; you can pretty much create any type of computer case that will best fit you needs today or in the future.

For those of you wondering about the price you can get the combination show in the review , the HAF-935-KWN1, for a MSRP of  $169.99. If you would like to purchase the lower section that has the power supply located in the front  the HAF-915F-KKN1  has a MSRP of $69.99.

  1. Let’s say we have a home server or HTPC in the 915R and same gaming configurafion in main unit.
I want to turn on only the upper part. Where is the turn on switch?!

  2. Great question! From what I understand Cooler Master will adding kits to their store that you can get separate switches for the 915 sections or have were both systems can be turned on and off with one button.

  3. This looks very cool!

I would love a stack of 4 915 (from top to bottom):
    -Wife’s PC
    -My PC
    -Home Server
    -Drive Case for the Server

    It will be nice…

I believe I spotted an error:
“If you would like to purchase the lower section that has the power supply located in the front the HAF-915F-KKN1 has a MSRP of $69.99.”

Shouldn’t that be the upper section?

  4. The 935 reviewed is the case and top section and is sold as one unit. The lower section is sold separately and it does have the power supply located in the front. If you buy the lower section you can now add it to the 935 for a three level PC or you can take the two smaller sections, put them together and make a smaller case. Or like you said you can buy a couple of the modular sections and stack them. I saw them online now for about $60 each.
