Either a standard hard drive or a SSD can be installed into the carries. The drive carriers are easy out and in with just a pinch of the two tabs. Installing a drive into the carrier is just as easy.

Pushing the carrier back together locks the pins into place and securely holds the drive. Mounting holes and screws are used when placing a SSD drive into the holder.

OK, this has to be the easiest locking device I have seen in a long time. I was able to figure this one on out in just a few minutes… no really all you have to is slide in the ROM Drive push the lever towards the big letters that say LOCK and you are done. So guess how you would take the drive out… I knew you could do it.

A view of the right side of the case shows that there is very little 0n this side. Anything that would hinder the routing of cables have pretty much been removed. With just a 1/2 inch between the side panel and the back of the motherboard tray it could get a little tight on the cables.

The cables that you do see are the ones that connect the front ports to the motherboard.

The access cut in the motherboard tray is large enough and located to accommodate just about any motherboard layout so that you can swap out CPU cooler with as little hassle as possible. I was going to say “with ease” be that never happens for me.

  1. Let’s say we have a home server or HTPC in the 915R and same gaming configurafion in main unit.
I want to turn on only the upper part. Where is the turn on switch?!

  2. Great question! From what I understand Cooler Master will adding kits to their store that you can get separate switches for the 915 sections or have were both systems can be turned on and off with one button.

  3. This looks very cool!

I would love a stack of 4 915 (from top to bottom):
    -Wife’s PC
    -My PC
    -Home Server
    -Drive Case for the Server

    It will be nice…

I believe I spotted an error:
“If you would like to purchase the lower section that has the power supply located in the front the HAF-915F-KKN1 has a MSRP of $69.99.”

Shouldn’t that be the upper section?

  4. The 935 reviewed is the case and top section and is sold as one unit. The lower section is sold separately and it does have the power supply located in the front. If you buy the lower section you can now add it to the 935 for a three level PC or you can take the two smaller sections, put them together and make a smaller case. Or like you said you can buy a couple of the modular sections and stack them. I saw them online now for about $60 each.
