Cooler Master HAF 922 Mid Tower Case
Conclusion
The Cooler Master HAF 922 is a good case with great airflow. It addresses many of the needs of enthusiast who are looking for a good case. It has nice air flow, it’s water cooling ready, has expandability, wire management and even tool-less features going for it. All great things that most people are looking for in a case. The downside for this case may be that it’s too large. When most people think of a mid-size case they think of something that is a little more manageable. This case though slightly smaller than the original is still very bulky. Taking this to a LAN while not impossible would be exhausting. The steel chassis while sturdy is also awkward and heavy. The desktop footprint of this thing is still roughly the same size as the older brother as well. All this would be fine to, but the price difference between that two isn’t that noticeable either. For another $20-$30 more you can get the larger version with extra room at the top for a triple rad and an included side door fan.
The bottom line is that if your looking for a small manageable version of the HAF 932 to put your hardware in you are probably going to be disappointed with the not so small size of the HAF 932. If you don’t care about money or size and just want a large case to work with just go ahead and get the HAF 932. It’s only a little bit bigger and a tiny bit more expensive. You will get more options for water cooling plus and additional side fan with the HAF 932 as well. Which more than makes up for the price difference.
If you don’t care about the size of this case and you just like the looks of the HAF 922 then don’t worry. This case is a solid performer with plenty of features that make it great. There are lots of little things I didn’t have time to touch on like washable plastic filters in the front mesh bezels and a front e-sata port. A switch that turns of an on the light in the front LED fan. These are little details but added with the tooless design, ease of use, and the High Air flow design make this case an exceptional deal for the price point. I would have no problems in recommending this case to anyone.
