Awesome 360-Degree 4K Video of Crytek’s ‘The Climb’ Rock Climbing VR Simulator

theclimb

For most people, rock climbing can be filed under “nope” but with the latest virtual reality technology and Crytek’s CRYENGINE, gamers can experience the exhilarating experience first hand with “The Climb”.  A 4K 360-degree video has been posted on The Climb’s YouTube channel giving users a first-person look from above and experience the majesty of rock climbing without the risk of life and limb. Because of the high quality graphics and VR’s immersive experience however, gamers would probably need to a change of pants or two, especially those who are not fond of heights.  Check out a the 360-degree video for yourself below (hit fullscreen for a more immersive experience):

Click on the arrows in the video’s upper left hand corner or drag the cursor across the screen and check out the full panorama of our Alps setting as the camera rises through a game world stretching across 100 km of virtual space. Mountains tower over a serene lake, eagles soar over a fairy-tale castle, and wingsuit daredevils fly past cable cars – which you’ll get to climb across in the game – as you control the camera direction and explore Alps. And while we’re sure you won’t be able to resist looking into the distance, don’t forget to look down too… then imagine feeling the vertigo in VR.
