Phanteks Eclipse P300 Tempered Glass Midtower Case
Stick To Your Budget Without Sacrificing Style
Phanteks is one of those rare manufacturers whose products exude such a signature style that you can begin to recognize them from afar. Even when the company comes out with new cases, you can instantly recognize the DNA. It’s not quite minimalist, but it’s never over-the-top either. That’s certainly true of the Phanteks Eclipse P300. This case, like any case in the $50 price range, attempts to walk a fine line, with a striking visual appeal and quality materials on one side, and on the other side a BOM (bill of materials) that won’t put the company out of business. No $50 case is going to blow you away, but that doesn’t mean the Eclipse P300 can’t still drop your jaw.

The Phanteks Eclipse P300 Tempered Glass we reviewed is shipped in a thick brown recycled cardboard box. On the sides of the box you’ll find technical illustrations showing a three-quarter’s view, and an exploded view of the case, with each panel and removable component removed and shown in great detail.
Just by looking at the box, you can see that there is a tempered glass window; front-, top-, and bottom-panel dust filters; an included 120mm exhaust fan in the rear panel; two 3.5-inch HDD/SSD trays that slide out of the bottom of the case from behind the front panel; an SSD tray located behind the windowless steel rear panel; and a large enclosed PSU bay. There also appears to be a generous amount of open space in the interior. The sides of the box also have a detailed breakdown of the case’s technical specifications and dimensions.
The Phanteks Eclipse P300 has an MSRP of $60, however, the model we’re using, the Black/Red unit and the Black/Black model, can be found online for at or near $50. The Black/White Steel and the White models were going for closer to MSRP, and even more, depending on the outlet.
