Cougar Conquer Essence Mini Tower Case Review
Micro ATX Open Air Case Design With Style
I love open design cases. Cases like Core P1-3-5-7 (Thermaltake) and Paean (Raijintek) offer a lot of customizable options for anyone who is trying to put together a custom rig. Unfortunately there aren’t many manufacturers out there who has open style cases. Our friends at Cougar has just released a smaller version of their flagship Conquer case, Conquer Essence. The Cougar Conquer Essence is a Micro ATX based case with a sturdy aluminum frame, tempered glass and of course killer looks. This little Mini Tower is what you want from style and performance perspective. If you planning to work with an open design case like Conquer Essence you almost have to pimp it out with a full water cooling loop and RGB lights.

The Cougar Conquer Essence comes in a large box. Must larger than I expected for Mini ATX system. As always color scheme of Cougar cases is black and orange with plenty of information of the contents inside. On both sides of the case I learned a great deal about Conquer Essence and its features just by looking at the images.
To open the box you need to lay it down on the flat surface and open it from the middle of the case. Internal components such as the case it self and tempered glass are separated by sheets of protective foam. I feel that Cougar took extra caution with packaging of this case.
Conquer Essence comes with a small bag of zip ties, screws and miscellaneous mounting hardware as well as a short user guide.
