Available now in products from Dell-Alienware and MSI, the Killer 1550 automatically prioritizes game, video and voice traffic while delivering WiFi speeds up to 1.73 Gbps

Austin, Texas – (Jan. 8, 2018) – Rivet Networks, makers of the award winning line of high performance Killer™ networking products for desktop and notebook PCs, is excited to announce the availability of its all new Killer 1550 Wireless-AC networking module, which brings faster than Gigabit wireless speed to gaming systems and motherboards from industry leaders such as Dell and MSI.

The first product introduced as part of a collaboration between Rivet Networks and Intel™, the Killer 1550 is the first PC wireless module to feature 160 MHz support, delivering theoretical max throughput speeds of 1.73 Gbps. This is two times the potential throughput as competing 2×2 wireless devices, giving customers WiFi that is faster than a gigabit Ethernet connection.
The Killer 1550 includes Bluetooth 5.0 and comes packed with Wave 2 11ac features such as MU-MIMO and Transmit Beamforming. Powered by Intel’s latest wireless technology, the Killer 1550 delivers incredibly strong signals to increase WiFi range.

Designed for gamers and performance-minded PC users, the 1550 is the perfect implementation of Killer Networking’s speed, intelligence and control designed into Intel’s most advanced wireless chipset. It automatically detects, classifies and prioritizes critical network traffic for online games, streaming video and high-quality audio for a smooth and enjoyable gaming and entertainment experience. Gamers can expect their gaming traffic to be prioritized above all other traffic, delivered with incredibly low latency.
