ASUS RT-AC1200GU WiFi Router Review
When you are looking for a new WiFi router, it can quickly become a nightmare. Nowadays there are more WiFi routers on the market than wireless adapters. One of the biggest WiFi router manufacturer is ASUS. ASUS has a great variety of hardware that would satisfy any user. ASUS has released a budget friendly WiFi router RT-AC1200GU initially available only in the Chinese market. RT-AC1200GU is a small router that offers dual band connectivity and also supports legacy and newer AC protocols. I have mentioned that the range is crucial when it comes to home WiFi routers and RT-AC1200GU stands out from the cheaper routers by having 5dBi antennas that covers up to 5000 square feet. As you can see the package is completely Chinese. This router was released by ASUS only for the Chinese market however it can be imported to the USA or anywhere around the world via Gearbest with several free shipping options. If you can read Chinese then understanding the description of RT-AC1200GU would be easy. In my case I do not speak or read Chinese so the imagery helped me a lot from the guide, packaging and interface.
The contents of the packaging was very neatly packed however the shipping box got completely destroyed. Inside of the shipping box there is a power supply, CAT5 4-foot cable, manual (in Chinese) and RT-AC1200GU. The actual device was in the protective bag that protected it from any accidental damage while in shipping.
