EVGA’s GTX 980 Ti VR edition which was seen at CES earlier this year is finally out and available in two versions: regular and one with ACX 2.0 cooling. Each VR Edition video card comes with a 5.25″ drive bay device that has a pair of USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI port which users can connect their VR unit into. The outputs on the video card itself includes a DVI-D port, HDMI port and a pair of DisplayPorts at the back IO. The front of the card’s PCB also has an additional HDMI port which is used to plug the 5.25″ drive bay unit. The regular GTX 980 Ti VR Edition uses the reference NVIDIA blower style cooler while the ACX 2.0+ verison has a significantly quieter pair of ball-bearing, low-power, 6-phase fans.
