Corsair Unveils Strafe Silent RGB Keyboard and Katar Gaming Mouse
Gamers have two new peripherals from Corsair to consider. First is the Strafe Silent RGB keyboard equipped with the new Cherry MX silent switches. Not to be confused with Cherry MX red or Cherry MX brown switches with o-rings but instead, these Cherry MX silent switches are up to 30% more silent than those mechanical switches due to a new integrated sound dampening design inside the switch. Since it is an RGB keyboard, the Strife Silent RGB also has full-color control of the backlighting with dynamic presets and is open to customization. The fun does not stop there as the Strafe Silent RGB also has USB pass-through, alternate FPS/MOBA keycap sets, detachable wrist rest and more. MSRP is set at $159.99 and is available in 104-key layout for North America.
The second peripheral announced by Corsair is the Katar gaming mouse, a simple, lightweight gaming mouse with an 8000 DPI sensor and four programmable buttons. The ambidextrous design and low price of $39.99 makes the Katar mouse suitable for a wide variety of users.
A new mousepad dubbed the MM300 has also been released to coincide with the new mouse, available in three sizes using 3mm deep texture-weave surface for fraying-free performance. Sizes include small (256 x 210 mm), medium (360 x 300 mm), and extended (930 x 300mm). MSRP is set from $14.99 to $29.99.
