Gigabyte Rolls Out Radeon R9 Fury Windforce OC Video Card

AMD’s R9 Fury cards were not exactly easy to come by upon launch but availability and production are expected to ramp up soon with various manufacturers offering their own take on the new Radeon flagship and high-end cards. Gigabyte has quietly rolled out one of their own R9 Fury video cards with a custom Windforce heatsink. The new Gigabyte R9 Fury Windforce OC video card is armed with three fans for not only low temperatures but very silent operation as well. The core clock comes at 1010MHz with a 4GB memory clock of 1000MHz. The official spec table lists GDDR5 on the memory instead of HBM which does not make sense as the R9 Fury GPU uses 4GB of HBM memory so it is most likely a typo.

Power requirements use two 8-pin external power connectors with a 600W recommendation. Display connectors include an HDMI, three DisplayPorts and a Dual-link DVI-I connector. The video card also comes with a built-in backplate and because of the large heatsink, the total height of the graphics card exceeds two slots (2.5 slots).
