ASRock is Looking to Revolutionize the Mini-PC with new Beebox NUC
In my recent review of the ECS LIVA X mini-PC, one thing became clear when trying to decode HEVC/H.265 videos– requirements for processing playback are a lot steeper than what the single-channel memory N2808 SoC provides. ASRock noticed the same thing so when they started developing their Beebox and using the dual-channel Intel N3000, saw that 4K playback was considerably smoother. To make the Beebox stand out even further from other NUC’s, ASRock has configured it to be the first and only NUC to have triple monitor support (two HDMI + DisplayPort) and to have a bundled remote control out of the box so it can be used immediately as an HTPC without purchasing extra equipment. The ASRock Beebox also includes the latest in USB technology with a Type-C USB 3.1 connector and of course, 802.11AC Wi-Fi.
