New ASUS N3150M-E Braswell SoC Motherboard Surfaces
A new motherboard using an integrated Intel “Braswell” SoC showed up on ASUS’ website recently offering a value solution feature packed for a low-power system. At the heart of this motherboard is the Intel Celeron N3150 system-on-chip, a 14nm quad-core CPU that supports dual-channel DDR3L-1600 memory and only has a 6W TDP rating, hence the passive cooling solution.
The ASUS N3150M-E has HDMI and D-Sub port for display output so that it can be used in modern displays while able to be connected to older displays for kiosk use. It also has an LPT port so that it can be used for industrial applications such as automated systems. Expansion slots include a pair of PCI-E 2.0 x1 slots (one of which is a physical x16 slot). Storage options include a pair of SATA 6Gb/s ports, 4x USB 3.0 ports (two at rear and two mid-board) and 4x USB 2.0 ports from a Genesys Logic GL852G hub.
