ASUS STRIX GTX 750 Ti OC Edition Video Card Review

The ASUS STRIX GTX 750 Ti OC Edition comes equipped with a factory GPU base clock 1124MHz and a boost clock of 1202MHz, a respective 104MHz and 117MHz increase over stock GeForce GTX 750 Ti speeds and features ASUS’ DirectCU II cooling system. It is configured with 2GB GDR5 memory running at a stock 5.4GHz effective rate. The cooling system is comprised of two heat pipes that carry heat away from the GPU to an array of aluminum fins that are cooled by a pair of fans. It is sporting one DVI-I, one HDMI and one DisplayPort 1.2 connector. The card does not require any additional power cables.

The card hails from ASUS’ STRIX lineage which means that the card’s DirectCU II solution is equipped with “0db Fan Tech” and is equipped with a factory overclock. The fans on this video card turn off when under 50 degrees Celsius and spin up when over 50c slowly. The goal is to reduce noise. The video card also sports DIGI+ VRMs with “Super Alloy Power” which claims to provide 30% less power noise, increase efficiency by 15% and improve overall longevity by 2.5 times over reference. Keep in mind that the DirectCU II branded cooling solution differs depending on the ASUS card that you purchase as it is more of a brand description than it is a set specification.

The ASUS STRIX GTX 750 Ti OC Edition comes with a 3 year factory warranty and is currently available in e-tail for $163.99 with Prime Shipping.
