Project ~ Venimus, Vidimus, Vicimus

Ok, I am Co-Leader of a UT/CS:S gaming clan and I have started a new project based on the clan logo and games we play. To be honest I am not sure just what direction this project will take lol. I am planning a simple low level project, but I never know one minute from the next what I might do.

 Description:

If you already own a PC I am sure that have used it at one time or another as a media source. You were either viewing a video, listening to music or watching TV. This is great if you are the only one that wants to use the PC, but what about the other members of your family? The Home Theater Personal Computer is all the rage as you can do all of the above and more. But finding the right case to meet you needs and match your current audio / video equipment might be a challenge. nMediaPC.com might just have what you are looking for and we are going to be looking at their 288 SA HTPC case.

 First Impression:

The nMediaPC 288 SA case arrived in a pretty simple looking box that seemed to have met a few rough hands along its journey. But hey, what a better way to test how well nMediaPC packages their enclosures, right?

After seeing how the outside of the box looked I was a little hesitant about seeing how the case looked. Upon opening the box we can see that they do a take a great deal of care to ensure that the contents arrive intact. Styrofoam pieces are placed all around and form fitted to the case. Nice try delivery guys, better luck next time.

Here we see the case out of the box and that the case is encapsulated in a layer of bubble wrap which acts as it's last line of defense against dents and scratches that may cause the case to be sent back.

Ah we get to see the case for the first time in all of it glory. Not a bad looking HTPC case if I do say so myself. The case can be had at Newegg for $99.99 USD

The nMediaPC 288 SA enclosure is 17 inches wide, 16 inches deep and stands from a flat surface 5.5 inches and it was about the same size as my older dedicated surround sound system.
