 Description:

The Ultra MicroFly case is one of the most common SFF (Small Form Factor) cases on the market. It allows for the mounting of a full-size ATX PSU, while other SFF cases have to have to run a smaller PSU. We originally took a look at Ultra's MicroFly back in July of last year. Today we are going to look at one of their latest versions the Ultra MicroFly MX6.

 First Impression:

The packaging of the MicroFly MX6 Micro ATX case is what we normally see from Ultra Products. The box contains large high resolution pictures of the case, while listing the major features of the MicroFly MX6 comes with one of Ultra's XVS 600W modular power supplies.

First thing to do is crack the box open and make sure the MicroFly MX6 came through shipping without any hitches. As you can see the MicroFly MX6 is well packed in the container using larger foam end caps. The case is also bagged to keep anything from getting to and marring up the finish of the case.

With the case successfully removed from the container we have verified that everything did in fact come through shipping without any complaints. The MicroFly MX6 is slightly different than the older MicroFly cases, while still utilizing a lot of the stock features of the MicroFly. The first thing that stand out is the squared off front panel, which is covered in mesh. The second thing to notice is the lack of the carrying handle that the original MicroFly's had. The last obvious difference is on the top panel. The earlier versions of the MicroFly either had 3 windows or none. The MicroFly MX6 comes with 2 side windows and no top window.
