I don’t know about you but I always worry about my new computer components getting harmed in route here. It really is not cool when you order 250 dollar memory and it’s DOA because you can see the box has been through hell and back. Put your mind at ease with this. True, this is only a mouse pad but you don’t want a mouse pad to be scratched on the surface or bent weird when you get it. But never fear. The makers of the EC-R, QPAD, have your interest in mind. They place the mouse pad in a tin container for easy transport and for its protection. Personally, that is an awesome touch. I cannot tell you how many things I have had to get resent to me because they were damaged and I simply hate the RMA system that most businesses have now days, it’s a pain and inconvenient.
If a tin canister wasn’t going overboard enough with the protection issue, I opened it up to only find foam. To be honest, I think it's overkill just a tad at this point, but if the packaging helps it sell, more power to them. The mouse pad was drowning in foam from all sides. As you can see in the picture above, there are two Q Dome stickers and five of the QPAD Glidz for your mouse. Not only does the QPAD have an optimized mouse pad for tracking but they go a step further and give you new mice feet for your mice. Check your mouse feet right now and look how badly they are scratched. New mice feet… Awesome!
Not many other mouse pads that claim to be for gamers, or anything else for that matter, come with new mouse feet. But I have to stop and think about the millions of users out there that have mice with odd shaped mouse feet that the QPAD Glidz will not accommodate, like the Razer mice, Logitech G7, and so on.
