QuakeCon 2013 Case Mod Contest

For the Second straight year Modders-Inc will be hosting the QuakeCon Case Mod Contest. Last year (The Awesomeness that was Quakecon 2012) was a great success for the modding community and for QuakeCon. Being so successful Modders-Inc was asked to bring back our high level of professionalism to the largest and best case mod contest in the USA. Between our modding contest prize pool and what we gave away, we had just about ~$12,500 in prizes to give away. As we gather prizes and information for QuakeCon 2013 we will update the page.

6) All entrants must have the Modders-Inc Case Mod Contest Entrant sign clearly visible at their PC to identify that their mod is officially entered.

7) All entrants must be available (by their mod) between the selected hours of the judging portion to answer any questions in regards to the mod(s). The judging time will be posted at the Modders-Inc booth, so please check back for the correct time period.

8) Participants may enter their case mod in only one of three Contest Categories

Scratch-Build Mod: consists of any mod built from anything other than a PC Case.

id/Bethesda Themed Mod: consists of any mod themed on id Software/Bethesda or any their games.

Judging

Judging will be determined by Modders-Inc, CPU Magazine and any pre-selected guest judges. Participants in any of the class competitions are not eligible to be a judge. The scoring will be broken down into five categories each based on a scale of 1 – 10; with 10 being the best. Categories include Concept/Design (1-10), Creativity/MODS (1-10), Workmanship (1-10), Attention to Details (1-10), and Special Features (1-10).

Final scores are determined by adding the score from each category together. The highest score will receive the grand prize and the second and third highest scores will receive runner-up prizes.

NOTE: Judging will be done on Saturday,  we need to have 3 hours prior to the announcement of the winners to tally the scores and to contact the winners. Contest finalist will need to bring their case mods to the announcement area to display their mods. Last year it was on the main stage and at the final party for all to see!

If you are a modder and will be attending QuakeCon but not competing in the contest and you would like to be a guest judge. Please contact us at our Contact Page.

**We reserve the right to modify the rules, dates, times, prizes or sponsors at anytime due to any circumstances.**
